Weekend Update 1/30/12

Hoping Everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Thanks to one of my stitching friends on ILCS, I have made some real progress on  WIP #3 Fruitful Kitchen - Orange Friday night.  My WIP had terrible accident with a highlighter but received a link on how to fix it.  It worked well enough that I don't feel like the piece is totally ruined.

I also now have a small stitching project that I can stitch on at work.  It is a Stitch and Hang Ornament.  Thank you ladies for your comments and encouragements. Funny thing is now that I decide to stitch at work, I've been to busy to put in a stitch.  As someone said "all WIP gets done one stitch at a time" :)

I've had some major frogging to do on my WIP #1 Snowman Carolers.  I was always missing a stitch or two or off on my count...ugh.  This was very frustrating.  So Saturday, I bought  fabric marker (washable) and marked my grids.  I'm hoping this will help.

I will be adding pics soon.  Happy Stitching !!!

2012 TUSAL - January

Well I've join Daffycat 2012 TUSAL. It seems like so much fun.  I have always heard of TUSALs through some of my stitching groups but never participated.  So when my children asked me what I wanted for Christmas.... I asked for a pretty glass jar to put my ORTs in for the New Year.  Now that I have glass container  and joined Daffycat 2012 TUSAL here is my picture.

I started adding Jan. 1 so it has orts from my 3 current WIPs (Snowman Carolers, Christmas Bow, Fruitful Kitchen - Orange).

Weekend Update

Well really thought I would be able to get a lot more stitching done.  But it didn't turn out that way.  I was able to stitch on my WIP #1 Snowman Carolers  for a bit before my Bella (granddaughter) came by.  I offered to babysit ... wow don't really miss that, she was a little fussy.  I did find time to stitch on Saturday after errands and nephew's birthday party.  The progress on my WIP #1 is coming along, not as much as I would like...guess that is why it called WIP.   :)

Also I have been itchin to stitch at work.  Not a big project just something small and easy to carry.  I don't want to take my current WIPs, like stitching those at home.  Would I be getting over my head if I added one small project just for work?  I  told my self that I could not start a new project until one is complete. Don't think that will last ... lol (stitch addict)!!!

Oh and my BIG news ... I am going to be a grandma again!  I'm happy of the news of a new life just not the situation.  Oh well, definitely have to get my needle flying because that just means more baby things that I'll be stitching.

Happy Stitching Everyone

Wow my first blog....here goes.  I got inspired by my stitching friends' blogs, so yesterday created my own blog and worked on my WIP#2 ChristmasBow by EMS when I got home last night.  I love this desigener.  Not sure if working with 3 strands is making me stitch slower or what but only got a few stitches in before bed.  Can't wait for more stitching time this weekend!
